About Us
Welcome
Welcome to Rainbow Street Early Learning & Childcare Centre in Randwick. We are an ACECQA accredited provider of childcare early learning for infants and toddlers right through to pre school. We care for and nurture children getting them ready for their most exciting of days - the transition to “big school” and life beyond.
We are proudly a community, not-for-profit centre that offers a warm and welcoming environment for your child to look with wonder, listen curiously, play with purpose and see the possibilities beyond what they can reach for today.
The Centre has an open-door policy and as such, prospective families are invited to look around the centre at a time convenient to them. Currently we are offering families an In-person Tour or Virtual Walk Through Tour of our warm and welcoming learning spaces. Our experienced Leadership Team and friendly Educators will be happy to answer any questions you might have. Get in touch with us below!
Educators
At RSELC we have a fantastic team of highly educated and experienced Educators. Led by our University Qualified Early Childhood Teacher and Educational Leader in the Preschool Room and our experienced Director with a Bachelor of Education (Honors) who are both passionate about leading and mentoring the team to support children through the most significant years of their life.
Your child will be nurtured and supported through their educational journey by our personable and friendly Educators. We have an extremely low staff turnover rate (some of the lowest in the field) so you're safe in the knowledge that your child will see familiar faces from start to finish of day, week, and lifetime at RSELC.
Managed by parents, for parents
We are a community managed not-for-profit centre, which is overseen by a Parent Management Committee (PMC).
We are made up of volunteer parents who were elected/voted onto the committee at the AGM. Our role is to oversee the management of the centre, whilst our centre Director is responsible for its day-to-day running. We must adhere to our constitution and various standards set out by ACECQA. We always welcome new parents to the committee, so please join us helping shape the future of RSELC.

Rainbow Street Early Learning and Child Care Centre is great. Our daughter is in the Pre-school room and loves it. All of the teachers are responsive and truly care for the kids and their development. During this time of the Covid pandemic, the staff have been fantastic and I cannot rate this centre highly enough.
Anyone looking for good affordable early education and child care centre in the Eastern Subrurbs (Randwick, Coogee, Kingsford, Maroubra) should look into Rainbow Street.

The daycare centre is perfectly positioned between Coogee and Randwick. It is without question the most caring and loving daycare both my sons have attended. The not for profit status of the centre creates a real community feel, where all children and parents are valued. We couldn’t recommend it higher.

My son has been going to rainbow street child care center since he was 11 months old. It was so hard to make the decision to take him when he was so young as i had to go back to work, but what made it easier is that the teachers are amazing, friendly, motherly and so understanding about our worries with leaving our children. Always took the time to talk to me when i was upset and even messaged me through the first few days with some photos to show me how happy my son was and that he had he's sleep. My son is now 3 and about to move up a class for the second time. He loves the teachers and all the interaction with them and with all the kids. All the teachers have been there for many years and are very familiar with all the children and parents and try and follow all the instructions for every child as every child has different needs. I could not recommend this child care more, if you are after a homely feel to your child's day, beautiful healthy food and a clean environment with lots of educational and fun toys then you should definitely consider this center. :)

Both of my kids went / are at RSELC for over 4 years. Both of them loved / love it. The teachers are experienced and caring. The facilities are good and there is a friendly atmosphere between teachers and parents. Great value, convenient opening times, easy parking and includes substantial meals and nappies. My kids couldn't be happier. Highly recommend.

My twin girls have been going to Rainbow Street Early Learning Centre since we moved to the area 2 years ago and absolutely love going! Every day they are excited to see their friends and the educators and come home full of news from the day. All the staff are incredibly professional and friendly and the girls have really blossomed there.
The fact that there is such low turnover is telling, and reassuring as a parent that the girls are well looked after with good continuity of care (our previous childcare had high turnover and the girls ended up very distressed). I am so happy we found RSELC and the parent community environment.
